Police seek suspect in machete-point robbery at Central Austin Walgreens

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of robbing a Walgreens at machete-point in Central Austin last weekend.

According to the Austin Police Department, the aggravated robbery happened around 5:41 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Walgreens located at 4501 Guadalupe Street.

Police said the suspect entered the store armed with a machete and demanded property from an employee. After taking the stolen property, investigators said the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly an older-model Nissan Altima…
