CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The man who seriously injured an East Ridge Police Officer during a high-speed chase just had the time he’ll spend behind bars doubled — to 20 years.
The latest sentence for Ta’Bious Tezmon Wheat came this week in Hamilton County, where he pleaded guilty and got a 10-year prison sentence.
The Hamilton County DA’s Office say that sentence will run consecutively with the 10-year sentence Wheat previously got in Georgia.
Together, the two cases carry a total effective sentence of 20 years in prison…
