As measles outbreak continues, state officials push for vaccination

State officials provided an update on the Department of Health’s response to rising measles cases in the Lancaster-Lebanon region, and continued to urge residents to get vaccinated amid the increased outbreak.

Since late April, the Lancaster and Lebanon area has seen 70 cases of measles, leading to calls for more people to get vaccinated.

Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Debra Bogen said state officials are being proactive in tackling the measles outbreak, and aren’t “just sitting back and watching the virus spread.”…
