Mobile County man accused of holding knife to woman’s neck, threatening to kill her

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested an Eight Mile man accused of holding a knife to a woman’s neck and threatening to kill her.

According to the Mobile County Jail log, 38-year-old Jeromy Fanty was arrested on multiple charges, including:

  • Two counts of domestic violence: strangulation or suffocation
  • One count of third-degree criminal mischief
  • One count of third-degree domestic violence: menacing
  • One count of menacing
  • One count of first-degree attempted theft of property

Court documents claim that Fanty held a knife to his girlfriend’s neck, choked her, lifted her up by her neck, threatened to kill her, took the keys to her vehicle and attempted to drive off, as well as stabbed one of her tires to deflate it.
