NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Davidson County judge has sentenced woman who impersonated a nurse and stole sedatives from patients to four years supervised probation.
On Friday, Marissa Denton entered pleas to burglary, theft of property and impersonation of a licensed professional in Davidson County Criminal Court.
In September 2025, Ascension Saint Thomas reported a security breach at its Midtown location of “a woman impersonating a nurse” and taking medication from a patient. Denton was later charged with impersonating a nurse at the hospital.
In a separate incident, Denton was charged with theft and impersonation of a licensed professional after she entered a critical care unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, taking 100 milliliters of propofol from a patient’s room without authorization…
