A dispute over an apartment key inside a Tallahassee complex near Florida State University escalated into a shooting that left three people wounded, sent two of them to the hospital, and forced officers to clear an apartment where a child and several frightened witnesses were still hiding.
The case, examined by the YouTube channel Unspoken Crime Murders, began in the early hours of Oct. 15, 2023, at the Accassa Apartments on Ocala Road. The channel’s host said the conflict had been building between roommates, but the immediate dispute centered on whether tenant Otis Perkins would return a key and leave the apartment.
