SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane man was sentenced to three years in prison after robbing a Walgreens pharmacy at gunpoint.
According to the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office, Zephery Strandy, 59, was sentenced Wednesday to 36 months in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree robbery.
Prosecutors said that the case stems from a January 2025 incident in which Strandy entered a retail store with a pharmacy in the 7900 block of North Division Street wearing a mask, hat and hoodie, according to court documents.
The prosecutor’s office said Strandy pointed a gun at a pharmacist and demanded narcotics. Fearing for his life, the pharmacist handed Strandy a bottle of oxycodone pills. Strandy then put the gun in his pocket and fled the store…
