New dates for Baltimore’s fall festivals reflect city’s dedication to culture

Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Culture and Entertainment (MOACE) announced new dates for Charm City Live and the Baltimore Book Festival, two of the city’s premier fall festivals, on June 15.

The fifth annual Charm City Live, a celebration of community, music and culture, will take place over Labor Day weekend on Sept. 5. The Book Festival, a weekend bringing authors and readers together to push literary exploration, will occur Sept.19-20.

The new festival schedule demonstrates the city’s continuing commitment to advancing its cultural economy and creating unforgettable memories for its residents and visitors, officials said. By intentionally placing festivals throughout the month of September, the city will maximize attendance, broaden promotional opportunities and allow for additional time for planning and coordination, providing a greater impact for artists, authors, local businesses, performers, vendors and city agencies…
