The council adopted an ordinance granting Specific Use Permit No. 195 for the roughly 6,500-square-foot space inside a building on Lot 1A, Block 1, Enterprises Addition No. 2. The property is zoned Light Industrial (Conditional), which requires a specific use permit for a gymnastics or sports training facility. The business will offer golf training to professionals and amateurs.
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously on June 2 to recommend approval, and no one spoke during that public hearing. City staff also recommended approval, noting the site provides adequate parking for the new use along with the building’s existing office-showroom and warehouse tenants.
