A man walking toward a vehicle that was broken down in the middle of U.S. 36 was hit by an oncoming SUV on Saturday afternoon, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The crash happened 3:45 p.m. when a Mercury Mountaineer broke down in the center lane of westbound U.S. 36, between Boulder and Superior, the state patrol said in a news release.
