In the 90s all week

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — It is a mild and sticky start to your Sunday. Temperatures are in the upper 70s along the coastline and in the low to mid-70s inland.

Temperatures will continue to climb today, becoming very hot and running above average. Highs will reach the 90s area-wide, with heat index values approaching 100° inland and up to 105° at the beaches. While it will be very hot, there is no Heat Advisory in effect today.

We do have a Level 1 risk for severe weather as showers and thunderstorms return this afternoon. Similar to yesterday, a couple of storms could become strong, but the severe weather threat remains isolated. The primary concern will be locally strong wind gusts…
