CLEVELAND — A motorcyclist was killed after crashing and overturning several times on Interstate 71 in Cleveland early Sunday morning, authorities said. According to police, the motorcyclist was also struck by a car that was exiting the highway while others were attempting to help after the initial crash.
The initial crash happened at about 2:23 a.m., when the 31-year-old motorcyclist traveling north on I-71 in the second lane approached the exit ramp at West 130th Street and Bellaire Road.
“The motorcycle crossed two lanes of traffic, traveled onto the right shoulder, and continued onto the concrete and grass median separating the exit ramp from the through lanes,” a spokesperson for the Cleveland Division of Police told 3News via email. “The rider lost control, causing the motorcycle to overturn several times before coming to rest on the exit ramp.”…
