Severe storms cause flooding, damage across Kentucky, Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — As severe storms moved through Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky Saturday night, some areas are just now seeing the extent of the damage.

The storms prompted a brief weather delay at Nissan Stadium, where country music legend Alan Jackson was taking his final bow during his “Last Call: One More for the Road” concert. Attendees were delayed for about half-an-hour before Jackson took the stage at the star-studded event.

Kentucky is still under a declared state of emergency from Gov. Andy Beshear, who said some areas of the commonwealth received record or near-record amounts of rainfall. Cumberland County, on the Kentucky-Tennessee state line, received more than 8 inches, according to the governor, and as of Sunday afternoon “at least a dozen” counties were really hard hit…
