13-year-old driver of stolen vehicle arrested after chase

LUBBOCK, Texas — On Sunday, June 28, the Lubbock Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that ended in a pursuit, leaving a 13-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger with moderate injuries.

According to LPD officials, the initial call came in at 2:12 p.m. for a stolen vehicle report near Avenue X and 40th Street. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled, prompting a pursuit.
