WILLARD, Mo. (KY3) – Willard’s Freedom Fest filled a local park with vendor booths, music, watermelon-eating contests and more ahead of an evening fireworks show.
Edward Sands, Willard’s Parks and Recreation director, said the event has been a fixture in the community since he took the job.
“It’s a very big deal for Willard,” Sands said. “From the day I stepped into the door, Freedom Fest was a big event that everybody talked about. And I had people from surrounding areas talking about coming out here for Freedom Fest.”…
