SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Part of Mt. Vernon Street in Springfield will close starting Monday, June 29, according to the City of Springfield.
The closure on Mt. Vernon Street will be between Broadway Avenue and Fort Avenue, and will last for approximately one week.

The City of Springfield says the closure will let crews work on sewer maintenance and replacement. The city also says they notified residents in the area of the closure and were given guidance to continue to access their homes during construction.
