Spokane protesters push back on proposed data center plan

SPOKANE, Wash. — Community members gathered outside Avista headquarters along Mission Avenue to protest a proposed data center tied to a potential agreement the energy provider revealed earlier this month.

Avista initially did not confirm whether the project involved a data center. After pressure from community members, the company said the proposal did involve a data center.
