Sentencing for Lorain County man convicted in connection with armed carjacking

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – The man who carjacked a woman at gunpoint and then led Elyria police officers on a chase, will be sentenced in Lorain County Court of Common Pleas Monday.

In May, Desmond Lewis, of Elyria, pleaded guilty to several charges, including, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, obstructing official business, and theft.

According to Elyria Police Capt. Bill Lantz, Lewis stole a car at gunpoint on Feb. 4 in the area of Lorain Boulevard, just north of Bell Avenue…
