Looking for a free family night out in Detroit? Movie Nights in the D returns to Campus Martius Park for summer 2026 with nine weeks of free outdoor movies in the heart of downtown. Families can bring blankets and lawn chairs, grab popcorn, and enjoy everything from Disney favorites to adventure films under the stars. The screenings take place on Friday evenings throughout July and August, making them the perfect way to kick off a summer weekend.
Movies begin at 7:00pm at Campus Martius Park. Seating opens at 6:00pm and guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Popcorn and refreshments are available for purchase. Arrive early and let kids play in the sand at Detroit’s urban beach.
