Pitt lands commitment from Georgia CB Khamani Estrada

Pitt kept its recruiting momentum in the state of Georgia going on Sunday with a commitment from Westlake High School cornerback Khamani Estrada. The 6-0 and 175-pound three-star prospect chose the Panthers on Sunday over a group of finalists that included Louisville, North Carolina, Purdue and West Virginia.

“Because of the loyalty,” Estrada told Panther-Lair.com about why he committed to the Panthers. “Coach Collins offered me early after my sophomore year. It just felt like the best fit for me. After the OV, I kind of felt like I’ve seen everything I needed to see and it was just the spot for me.”

Estrada took in an official visit to Pitt the weekend of June 11-13th. The opportunity to see Pittsburgh was an eye-opening experience for the Georgia native and he fell in love with the situation he would be in with the Panthers.
