This York County bridge is closing for nearly 3 months: What drivers need to know

A bridge replacement project will close Old Forge Road in Chanceford Township, York County, starting Monday, July 27, creating a detour expected to last 78 days.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the closure of the bridge on Old Forge Road, designated as Route 2048, near Laurel Road. During the closure, crews will replace the existing single-span adjacent box beam structure with a precast box culvert and perform minor roadway reconstruction at the approaches.
