‘Honesty is on the menu’: Proposed shrimp labeling act to require transparency from SC restaurants

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) – A proposed act making its way to the governor’s desk could impact South Carolina restaurants selling imported shrimp.

What started as Bill H. 4248 was ratified on Monday.

Now an act, if signed by Gov. Henry McMaster, it would require any “food service establishment” selling foreign-imported shrimp to disclose it visibly for customers…
