BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A string of purchases at multiple fast-food locations over the course of a year led to a Louisiana woman’s arrest on felony fraud and identity theft charges.
According to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, Nyeisha Davis, 26, of St. James, La., is accused of participating in an access card scheme that resulted in a series of unauthorized transactions against a victim’s bank account.
On Jan. 23, 2026, the sheriff’s office received a complaint from the victim who reported her bank card information was being used at multiple fast-food restaurants without her knowledge or approval. At the time the report was filed, the scheme had accumulated charges of over $2,600.
Detectives began an investigation and identified a series of transactions made at various locations. After reaching out to loss prevention staff for the fast food chain, detectives secured video surveillance evidence that led to Davis being identified as a suspect in the investigation.
