AUSTIN, Texas — The body of a man was recovered from Lake Travis on Saturday after he went underwater and did not resurface, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies with TCSO’s Lake Patrol responded at 6:23 p.m. Friday to a 911 call reporting a man missing in the main channel of the lake near Bob Wentz Park. Rescue efforts were unsuccessful, and the mission shifted to a recovery operation at approximately 7:20 p.m.
