We Energies offers tips to reduce energy bills during extreme heat

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — As an extreme heat warning remains in effect across Wisconsin, We Energies says its prepared for increased electricity demand while encouraging customers to take steps to stay cool and lower their energy bills.

With dangerous heat expected to continue through Tuesday, the utility says crews are also on standby to respond quickly if storms or equipment failures lead to power outages.

We Energies says all available power plants are ready to meet peak demand, with natural gas, solar, wind and battery storage systems helping keep electricity flowing as air conditioners and cooling systems work overtime…
