CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. (WIFR) – One person was taken to the hospital following a garage fire Saturday morning in Cherry Valley.
The Cherry Valley Fire Department reports it first got the call about the fire around 9:15 a.m. June 27. Crews got to the scene of the fire in the 5800 block of Linden Road in under a minute and found heavy smoke coming from the garage. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within about 30 minutes.
Chief Kyle Hill reports 33 firefighters from 11 different agencies were called in to help.
A resident of the home was taken to a local hospital for a burn injury…
