The Larimer County Commissioners indicated that they would extend a moratorium on project approval for new data centers in the county after county staff requested more time to shape potential policies at a work session Monday.
The six-month extension on the moratorium, which the commissioners supported and will officially vote on at a land use hearing on July 13, might prove longer than county staff needs, said Larimer County Environmental Planner Scott Benton.
