BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo finalized the sale of its four city-owned downtown parking ramps on Monday afternoon, completing a transaction that city officials say will deliver nearly $62 million to help the city’s finances over the next three fiscal years.
The closing occurred around 12:30 pm Monday, according to Deputy Buffalo Mayor Benjamin Swanekamp. It comes just one day before the city’s fiscal year ends on June 30 — allowing Buffalo to receive an initial $30 million payment in time to help close out the current budget.
