David Omar Echevarria, 41, of Richland County has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drug conspiracy.
Evidence obtained during the FBI’s investigation of activities revealed that Echevarria was receiving cocaine shipments from Puerto Rico to North and South Carolina. Once the packages were received, Echevarria would distribute the drug to local dealers. In total, the FBI estimates that Echevarria distributed more than 5 kilograms of cocaine.
