MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Commissioners voted to approve a contract extension for the healthcare provider for Shelby County Jail inmates.
These are just 67 inmates who have died in the Shelby County Jail since 2018. That’s according to Just City, a local organization advocating for justice for those inmates and thousands more in Shelby County Jail.
