AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Comptroller’s Office said Potter County must repay the state for overpaid taxes.
According to a letter from the comptroller’s office, a business paid $677,000 too much in local taxes on transactions later determined to not be taxable.

The letter states that Potter County must repay the state that money because the state had already reimbursed the business the overpayment amount.
