AUSTIN (KXAN) — Wayne Sneed, the police chief for the Austin Independent School District, is out of the hospital, according to the district.
The chief received treatment and physical rehabilitation at the Dell Seton Medical Center after his motorcycle crash on June 3.
The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. at U.S. 290 westbound and the MoPac service road ramp near Southwest Parkway, as KXAN previously reported. Sneed and a AISD police officer crashed while riding their motorcycles as part of a motorcade.
