JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver of a commercial truck tractor caused a fatal crash on Highway 73 early this morning by failing to yield the right-of-way.
Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on state Highway 73, west of Taylor Bayou Bridge, that occurred Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The preliminary crash investigation, according to the DPS, indicates that at about 4:35 a.m., the driver of a 2023 Autocar truck tractor failed to yield the right-of-way at a cross-over yield intersection on State Highway 73, west of the Taylor Bayou Bridge.
