Wichita nonprofit battles flooding, heat, wind during fireworks fundraiser

DERBY, Kan. (KSNW) — Fireworks stands should be preparing for their busiest time of the year, but some vendors are recovering from recent flooding and facing the summer heat.

Fireworks sales have become a balancing act for Wicked City Roller Derby — Wichita’s flat track roller derby league. The non-profit is hosting the sale to raise money for its tournaments.
