Mt. Hope Fire Department receives 2,300 cans of emergency drinking water

MOUNT HOPE, Kan. (KWCH) — The Mount Hope Fire Department received 2,300 cans of emergency drinking water Monday through a grant program with the National Volunteer Fire Council and Anheuser-Busch.

To qualify for the program, departments must be made up of more than 50 percent volunteers, serve a population of fewer than 25,000 people and respond to wildfires. A total of 638 volunteer fire departments were selected to receive water.
