Douglas County implements Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, including firework ban, ahead of Fourth of July

DENVER (KDVR) — As wildfires burn around the state, cities and counties here on the Front Range are announcing firework bans and other fire restrictions ahead of the Fourth of July weekend. Over the last week, cities like Fort Collins and Louisville have announced bans on fireworks in city limits.

In Douglas County, the sheriff’s office announced Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on Monday in unincorporated parts of the county, banning any open burning, including fireworks.
