The Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 is making its first trip to the East Coast as part of a coast-to-coast tour celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. It culminates with a Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia as its centerpiece.
The eastern leg also marks the first time the tour has reached Indiana, Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania. Big Boy is billed as the world’s largest operating steam locomotive.
