REEDLEY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A free nectarine-picking event in Reedley was shut down for the day because of overwhelming turnout and safety concerns, according to an update from the farm.
Farmer Cesar Mora had invited the public to pick from about 125,000 pounds of ripe nectarines at his farm at 21500 E. Parlier Ave. from June 29 through July 3.
“Due to the overwhelming amount of support, we are shut down for the day for safety reasons. Please come back out tomorrow,” the update said in a Facebook post…
