Swamp Rabbit Trail extension proposed in Greenville, study planned

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Greenville city leaders have laid out plans for a new extension of the Swamp Rabbit Trail that would connect Unity Park to the Village of West Greenville.

The proposed route would follow the rail line from Willard Street to the Lois Avenue underpass, linking Unity Park and the Village and providing neighbors a direct connection to the rest of the trail and its amenities.

Still in early stages

The city said the extension remains a proposal and is not a guaranteed plan. Officials said the project is still early in the planning process, and the city can now begin a study to determine whether the extension is feasible…
