“She’s my best friend”: Family still grieving months after deadly shooting
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Months after a deadly January shooting in southeast Austin, the family of Denise Tijerina says the pain of her loss has not eased as their frustration grows over how the case is unfolding in court.
“She’s my best friend,” said Stephanie Rivera, Tijerina’s sister, fighting back tears.
Tijerina was shot in late January on Wagon Bend. She later died from her injuries…
