Fred’s Texas Cafe, Crowley Offers 250 FREE Burgers July 4

Fred’s Texas Cafe has been feeding Fort Worth since 1978, back when the restaurant was a scrappy outpost in a then-overlooked stretch of West Seventh, long before that part of town turned into Artisan Circle and everything around it got expensive. Forty-eight years later, the burger joint that built its reputation on Fred Burgers and ice-cold schooners is celebrating two birthdays at once, and it’s giving Crowley the gift.

On Friday, July 4, Fred’s Texas Cafe in Crowley will give away 250 free Fred Burgers starting at opening, while supplies last. It’s a double celebration — America turns 250 this year, and Fred’s turns 48 — and the timing isn’t an accident. The Crowley location, which opened in January 2026, is the first Fred’s has ever operated outside Fort Worth city limits in nearly half a century of business. Friday’s giveaway is the restaurant’s way of saying thank you to a town that showed up for it from day one.

The mechanics are simple. The first 250 guests through the door get one free Fred Burger, limit one per person, while supplies last. Cheese, fries, drinks, and additional toppings aren’t included — bring a little cash if you want the full meal. It’s first come, first served, so the early crowd is going to eat well and the late crowd is going to eat at the counter like everyone else…
