KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Tenants at Harmony Heights, a high-rise apartment building in Kansas City, Kansas, claim they went without air conditioning for more than a week, with indoor temperatures reaching as high as 90 degrees.
Most tenants in the building are 62 or older. Air conditioning was restored by 3 p.m. Tuesday after KCTV5 contacted city officials.
A property manager told KCTV5 that the building had been waiting on a replacement part from Mexico. The city said it was sending a crew to the building to see what was going on.
