Individuals lending time to help search for missing mother Taylor Stawny

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — As the search for 40-year-old Taylor Stawny continues after more than two weeks, first responder crews are getting some assistance from locals wanting to help.

Dale Doolittle and Daryl Simon say they began floating the James River in an effort to help searchers.

“I was going to work yesterday morning and just happened to see a water patrol truck pulling down here. I came in behind him to see what they had found out and talk to him about searching. [The trooper said] the more eyes on the river, the better. I said that I can definitely do that,” Doolittle said. “I figured I can get a boat and a buddy.”…
