Houston FIFA Fan Fest reaches capacity Tuesday after fans turned away from ‘Magic Sky’ area Monday

FIFA Fan Festival has placed a capacity limit on its central viewing area that broadcasts World Cup matches to rowdy fans gathered under its shaded canopy known as the “Magic Sky.”

A sign informed fans that capacity had been reached in the shaded area during Monday’s World Cup match between Brazil and Japan, which brought thousands into the East Downtown event to cheer on the two teams as they competed in Houston Stadium.

Fan Fest officials didn’t share details on what the limit is or when it went into place, but workers on Monday turned fans away from the area…
