Two boys were seriously injured Monday afternoon while riding an electric bike in north Boulder.
About 4 p.m., a witness called police to report that two kids riding one e-bike had been struck by a delivery truck at the intersection of Yarmouth Avenue and 18th Street, according to a Boulder Police Department social media post. A 15-year-old boy driving the e-bike ran a stop sign before he and his 14-year-old passenger were hit by the truck, according to the post. Neither boy was wearing a helmet, and both were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
