ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — We’re wrapping up the month of June and Tuesday is going to be very on-brand with a mix of weather hazards across New Mexico.
We may see storms – a few may become strong to severe – for some, fire weather danger for others and summer-like temps for everyone. Monsoonal showers and storms are set to fire off in some central areas could as early as mid-morning. The main show will take place starting in the early afternoon for eastern New Mexico.
Storms will move in a generally northeasterly direction. The Storm Prediction Center outlined far eastern New Mexico in a low-end risk for some storms to become strong to severe. The best timeline for this will be from 12-9 p.m. The main threats will be strong wind gusts and large hail.
