SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Georgia Power has started a grid enhancement project in Savannah’s Tremont Park and Cloverdale neighborhoods.
The company says the project is designed to improve power reliability and resilience for about 1,300 customers.
Work includes replacing existing poles with a mix of wood, modular composite and self-supporting concrete poles designed to better withstand extreme weather. Georgia Power says new power lines will also be installed, with some lines rerouted to make future maintenance easier…
