NORTHEAST, Wis. (WBAY) – Gov. Tony Evers declared Tuesday “Wisconsin Kringle Day,” and at least one De Pere bakery marked the occasion with a new flavor that sold out before the day was over.
Uncle Mike’s Bakery created a beer dip pretzel kringle for the holiday — a first-of-its-kind offering for the shop. The kringle was brushed with a lye solution to give it a pretzel taste, topped with sea salt and filled with beer dip. It sold out the same day.
“We came up with a beer dip pretzel kringle, and so that’s something we’ve never done before,” said Isabella Tomcheck, marketing manager at Uncle Mike’s. “It’s been extremely popular. We’re already sold out.”…
