Springfield is gearing up to replace the Main Street Bridge after buying the Hotel of Terror property

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Springfield’s $38-million Renew Jordan Creek project will now move forward after the purchase of the Hotel of Terror property.

“We’ve been anxiously waiting to see how that’s going to go down,” said Melinda Karki.

She works near the Main Street Bridge in downtown Springfield. She’s referring to the Hotel of Terror building. The city will demolish it to clear the way for a new bridge. Besides improving the area, Karki says the project will go a long way towards mitigating the dangers of flooding…
