Madison Theatre under new operator, gains two restaurants

The Madison Theatre is getting a new operator and two new restaurants as neighbors.

The Pine Hills neighborhood movie house will be leased and operated by Dayva Weiss, daughter of Jeff Weiss, who is CEO of Glennpeter Jewelers and part of the group that owns the Madison Theatre building and its adjacent storefronts.

“The Madison Theatre is set to be reimagined by creative power couple Dayva Weiss and Jordan Steinberg,” said Christina Summers, founder of Dagmar Consultancy, which is helming rebranding efforts, marketing and public relations for the theater, in a statement to the Times Union. “While details of the vision remain under wraps for now, we can exclusively share that the historic venue will evolve into a dynamic third space for film lovers, artists, and the broader community — bringing together cinema, visual arts, experiential events and cultural programming in a destination designed to inspire creativity and connection…
